You haven’t experienced Bodø until you have been to Væran. It’s easier to get there than you might think, whether you fancy a round trip on a fast passenger boat seeing the ports of call from on deck, spending the day on one of the islands, or living life at a slower pace for a few days.

There are few, if any, big cities that are so close to the wilderness. This is a green lung on the world’s most beautiful coast. Just outside the city centre we find Bodømarka with trails and paths that offer lasting experiences and peaceful inspiration, summer and winter.

Long or short. Steep or gentle. Family outing or advanced mountaineering. In Bodø there is a multitude of mountains just begging to be climbed. A summit walk is never far away and after a few minute’s climb you can look out across the landscape as it opens up before you.

In Bodø there are several places which are excellent in order to experience the midnight sun. The phenomenon occurs during the summer months north of the Arctic Circle.
